About
Gilad Hochman is widely considered as an original and innovative voice in the international music scene and one of Israel's most prominent composers. Among his many achievements, at 24 years old Hochman became the youngest to win Israel's prestigious Prime Minister's Prize. He is also a winner of the S&R Washington Award and of various international composition competitions. Notable performances of his music include chamber retrospective concerts in Germany and the Berlin Philharmonie orchestral debut in 2013. In 2015 his orchestral piece “Suspended Reality” was premiered at the German Parliament and played in a concert tour throughout Germany and Israel, including the Alte Oper Frankfurt and Tel Aviv's Opera House. Other of his works have been played by outstanding musicians at Carnegie Hall (New York), Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, St James's Piccadilly (London) and at the Jerusalem Theater, to name a few.
